Actually, Ron Paul is right!
The attacks of 9/11 were "blowback" from the stupid US policy of intervention in the affairs of other nations. Who says? Osama bin-Laden says. In his 1998 Fatwa, bin-Laden gave the reasons why it is OK for Muslim to kill Americans - the presence of US troops in the middle east.
Go Ron Paul! Ron Paul in 2008.

I agree too. Ron Paul is so intelligent, Giuliani just turned that answer around on him and took his answer out of context. We did not invite the terror attacks, and especially did not deserve them, but he was simply saying that our interventionist policies are not helping keep terrorists from attacking.

I agree - Ron Paul seems to be very intelligent and has a good knowledge of history. I vote for Ron Paul 2008

The host and Giuliani put those words in Paul's mouth. He didn't say them. Instead Paul made a very realistic observation and Giuliani twisted it to sound bad. In the past this would have worked, but today we have youtube to prove otherwise.

For an encore, maybe Giuliani could compare and contrast the sanctuary policies he sued the Feds for to the sanctuary policies that allowed the Duka brothers to continue living here despite being arrested multiple times.

9/11 was an inside job. The bush administration and zionists pulled it off. Giuliani had to have been in on it as well since he's the one who was in the control center for the 9/11 operation ( building 7) and he's the one that had the steel removed and shipped to China where it couldn't be studied. He's also made a bundle off the phony 'war on terror'. He's a thorough sleezebag.

rudi, give it up man. we all know how much dirt surrounds you, and its going to come out. you are no longer the mayoral hero of 9/11, you are tied in the the cover up up, up to your neck. Thats what bothers me, you have the gall to think you could be president. A lying crook just like Bush. For your own good, step down.

Flap, give us some evidence of Paul's idiocy. What do you mean?

Ron Paul was right. There was no smackdown. Rudy created a straw man argument to make himself look good while misrepresenting another person's comments and ignoring the true issues. Since RP had nothing to lose, I hope he gains voters from being the center of attention. Giuliani has certainly lost my vote with this.

Simplistic view Cpt Mike, very simplistic !! Osama wants to be the leader of the middle east. He wants to gain this position through having a common enemy that all his followers can focus on. Yes, we are standing in the way of his dream of a radicalized middle east. Without us involved, his dream is to gain power in the midst of chaos. So, because a radical terrorist says that we should not be there, we should withdrawl and simply allow the world to fend for themselves? That is what the radicals want, because the US, and a small group of others, have the guts to stand for what is right. Of course, this does not include Germany, France, and Russia, because they would rather take the same approach that was taken in response to the nazis, "if we work with them, we can control them..." IT DOES NOT WORK !!

Ron Paul and his tinfoil hatters are full of s--t.

bin Laden hated us for who we are and our ally Israel.

bin Laden also saw us as big... and weak.

I can't believe that there are still people with such a black-and-white view of the world who think that we were the targets of the 9/11 attacks because of our freedom, or because Bin Laden just hates us period.

The 9/11 attacks were not justified. Murder and terrorism never are. But the people who are willing to sacrifice their lives to kill us didn't throw darts at a map to decide who to strike. The US has a reputation of interfering in Middle Eastern politics, especially to religious nut jobs who view Saudi Arabia as holy land. So when we have troops stationed on their soil what do you expect? That they will not be angered by this? We need to wake up and face the reality that these maniacs are not rational, and justify their violent acts through our own foreign policy.

They aren't attacking Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Poland, Iceland, Italy, or tons of other liberal democratic societies. They are exclusively attacking the US and our allies because they view us specifically as an enemy. Why on earth do you think that is?

Wake up.

paul, you simply draw a distinction without a difference.

yes, they view us as obstructing their view of the Middle East, "interfering" if you will. we won't let them reestablish a caliphate based on modern terror with an 8th century ethos and law. oh, we seem somewhat intent on preventing the Islamofacsists from nuking Israel.

i remember all of this "we suppot repressive middle eastern regimes" nonsense back during the overthrow of the shah. remember the terrorist don't view the regimes that we support as anywhere close to sufficiently oppressive.

do you actually read the islamofacsist websites? your analogy is like saying the Japanese bombed us at Pearl Harbor because we interefered with their agenda of conquest in Asia. Well, uh,... yeah, I guess we did.

what would you do differently? hand over Iraq, Israel and Afghanistan for starters. Maybe pull support from the moderate states like Jordan, Kuwait and Qatr? how understandign should we be, give Iran nukes 'cause you feel guilty about how wealthy we are here in the US.

Fooliani was SCHOOLED by Dr. Paul.

Any American with an IQ over 60 realizes that Ron Paul was right and should be outraged that the corporate media machine is trying to hold down a man like Dr Paul who contributes intelligence, honesty, and patriotic ideas.

Shame on Fooliani and the corpoate media machine

Paul Campaign: Giuliani's Immigration Record Out of Touch with America

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - June 1, 2007

ARLINGTON, VA - Rudy Giuliani’s record on illegal immigration is out of step with the majority of Americans. As mayor of New York, Mr. Giuliani filed a lawsuit to prevent city officials from arresting illegal immigrants. He also denounced a law that prohibited welfare benefits, Social Security and free tax-payer funded medical care for non-citizens, and lobbied the U.S. Congress to change it.

“On illegal immigration, Rudy Giuliani is more like Ted Kennedy than Main Street America,” said Ron Paul 2008 campaign chairman Kent Snyder.

In contrast, Congressman Ron Paul has long taken the lead against illegal immigration. He voted for a border fence between the U.S. and Mexico and strongly opposes amnesty. Congressman Paul has introduced legislation to end birthright citizenship. He has also sponsored legislation to bar individuals from countries on the U.S. terror watch list from receiving student visas, since several of the 9/11 terrorists were here on expired student visas.

“When you compare Rudy Giuliani’s immigration record as a mayor to Congressman Ron Paul’s record as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives for 10 terms, the difference is clear,” continued Snyder.

Lol@ Rudy not even comprehending Ron Paul's statement. Paul was referring to Osama's objection to permanent US military bases built near Holy Sites in Saudi Arabia during the Gulf War, among other things. How could 9/11 have been CAUSED by an invasion which occured as a RESULT of and AFTER 9/11? Too funny. You are so frigging stupid, Rudy.
